- Studien syftar till att undersöka hur el- och kontrabaslärare i gymnasieskolan arbetar för att väcka och bibehålla motivation hos sina elever. Jag har valt att göra denna studie då jag sett och upplevt att elevers motivation påverkar undervisningen i hög grad. I studien intervjuas fyra el- och kontrabaslärare om vilka faktorer som de beskriver är betydelsefulla för elevers motivation och hur de arbetar med motivation i sin undervisning för att stödja elevernas lärande och instrumentala utveckling. Aspekter de lyfter upp som viktiga för motivationen är gemenskap och samspel, elevers inflytande och att individanpassa undervisningen. När elever tappar motivationen berättar lärarna att de bland annat förenklar uppgifterna eller fokuserar på något som eleverna tycker är roligt. Lärarna tycker att betyg oftast inte har någon positiv inverkan på motivationen. (Less)

In the study four electric and double bass teachers are interviewed. When students lose motivation the teachers in the study say that they simplify the tasks or change focus to something that the students think is fun.
