Att äga rum. Litterär turism som resor i heterotopierna

Sjöholm, Carina LU orcid (2010) In Kulturella perspektiv 1. p.2-11
Abstract
In this article the phenomenon of literary tourism is approached through the Foucauldian concept heterotopias. A heterotopia is a a bridge between worlds, a physical place or a representation of a place, where transgression is possible. This can be applied to literary tourism, and in this specific case the literary walk, where the tourist goes between his och her own experiences of reading, into the more public experience which is formulated thorugh guide books and other enunciations of the tourist discourse. The main example is a series of literary walks in Cornwall, connected to the novelist Daphne du Maurier. The literary experience is related to the physical experience and the corporeality of the reading act.
