Learning Tools with Pedagogical Standards

Abstract
E-learning tools are becoming more advanced as Web 2.0 and the participatory Internet evolves. This paper discusses the need for a concrete pedagogical foundation on how to best use E-Learning tools. By examining some of the tools that are available now, we discuss what is suitable and what could be inappropriate. The significance of the traditional didactic triangle is reviewed and a new twist might create a further understanding of the need to review the possibilities and consider the needs of incorporating these tools and their advantages for the benefit of learner and teacher alike before they are utilized.
