Abstract
Currently, electronic commerce food delivery applications (e-food applications) play a significant role in the daily routines of many people. Many e-food applications have been developed, which makes the consumer indecisive in opting for a mobile application of choice for food delivery. Currently, electronic commerce food delivery applications (e-food applications) play a significant role in the daily routines of many people. Many e-food applications have been developed, which makes the consumer indecisive in opting for a mobile application of choice for food delivery. Hence, an assessment must be done to quantify the performance of a chosen application with a given set of criteria. This study intends to address this and proposes a three-stage framework. The first stage involves constructing a hierarchy of several criteria, and in the second stage, the weights for criteria and sub-criteria were allocated using the Analytical Hierarchical Process. Fuzzy VIKOR is used in the third stage to rank and analyse the applications that have been selected. The goal is to illustrate the framed evaluation model using real-time data from 100 responses collected through a survey. Based on the importance of the criteria and sub-criteria, Swiggy and Zomato stand out from the other applications used in this study. Further, the sensitivity analysis shows that the results are reliable and valid. This study suggests an integrated model that combines AHP and FVIKOR to evaluate and rank the e-food applications based on criteria and sub-criteria, which has not been explored in earlier research work. The framework proposed in the current study facilitates the ranking and benchmarking of various e-food applications, which reveals a lot of stress and indecisiveness from the consumers and helps the developers of an application to find bottleneck characteristics of their performers and benchmark appropriately.
