Chavarria-Aldrete, Bertrand LU
(2025)
- Abstract
- voids is a tactile-visual study of the negative spaces of the left hand and fingerings from a specific section of Reflexer Op. 15 (1985) for guitar by Rolf Martisson (1956) ; activating epistemic consequences on the instrumental performance and the performative body during the creative process.
The work extends on the PhD research thesis "Plastic Extension of Music" (Chavarría-Aldrete, 2025) allowing public to imagine and interact with music from a visual perspective, as a series of emancipative actions for the spectators.
5 Clay figures with metal and wood rods. Each sculpture has an approximate size of 90x90x90 cm.
