NABÔKÔ

Chavarria-Aldrete, Bertrand LU (2024)
Abstract
NABÔKÔ is a sculptural audiovisual instrument of 24 organic shapes, each representing a musical note, assisted by a new technology that reproduces the sound of the sculpture.

This new prototype, is a sculptural audiovisual instrument made of 24 organic shapes each representing a musical note. This music-sculptural prototype, allows to create new and unique shapes and sounds, to explore and develop a new audiovisual intelligence with the help of a technology newly developed that identifies and reproduces the sound of the sculpture.

This new sculpting music instrument can be used by everyone: artists, amateurs, parents, children, teachers, visually and hearing impaired and of course all special needs communities.... (More)

This new sculpting music instrument can be used by everyone: artists, amateurs, parents, children, teachers, visually and hearing impaired and of course all special needs communities.

This instrument allows to improvise with the audiovisual cognitive skills: replacing a tuned sound by a physical figure or composing a tuned sound by sculpting with the figures. This new instrument has embodied the musical note into a shape, a music avatar that can be handled, copied or coupled with others to improvise freely and create new imaginative organic audiovisual worlds.
